GERS BOARD VICE-CHAIRMAN RESIGNS

Effective March 31, 2017, Judge Edgar Ross will no longer serve as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
The Board of Trustees and management of the Government Employees’ Retirement System would like to announce that Vice-Chairman Judge Edgar Ross has tendered his resignation effective March 31, 2017. Vice-Chairman Ross cited personal reasons for his departure from the Board.
Judge Ross’ experience as a learned attorney, former attorney general, judge and senator, as well as his knowledge of government operations, contributed immensely to the board.
A special election will be held in the near future to fill the remainder of Judge Ross’ term as a retiree trustee.
We wish to thank Trustee Ross for his presence, leadership and contributions to the board and wish him the best in his future endeavors.
