Dear Senators of the 32nd Legislature of the Virgin Islands

Administrator Nibbs writes to Senators of the 32nd Legislature to again bring to their attention, the plight of the GERS as they met in Special Session on November 21, 2017.

In a letter dated November 20, 2017, Administrator Austin Nibbs writes to Senators of the 32nd Legislature to bring attention to the grim realities of the System.

Excerpt: "The purpose of this letter is to again bring to your attention, the plight of the Government Employees' Retirement System (GERS) as you meet in Special Session on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, to discuss and address a bill transmitted by the Governor of the Virgin Islands, that would authorize the Government of the Virgin Islands (GVI) to enter into one or more Federal Emergency Management Agency Community Disaster Loans."
