Delay in Processing Lottery Bonus to Retirees

The Management of the Government Employees’ Retirement System (GERS) advises the retirees that there is a delay in the processing of the lottery bonus payments.


The Management of the Government Employees’ Retirement System (GERS) advises the retirees that there is a delay in the processing of the lottery bonus payments.

A slight problem was encountered during the processing of the payments. The payments will be processed immediately after the problem is rectified.

The bonus payments are paid to retirees who are:

1). At least 60 years of age;

2). On the retiree payroll for at least one year; and

3). Eligible to receive a cost of living increase by July 15th of the year in which the bonus payment is made.

We apologize for any inconvenience the delay has caused and thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

The Management and Staff of the GERS would like to wish our retirees and their families a Happy Thanksgiving.
