Announces Grasilda H. Dobbins, CPA as the Chief Financial Officer

Austin L. Nibbs, CPA Administrator of the GERS is pleased to announce that the Board has approved his recommendation of Mrs. Grasilda H. Dobbins, CPA as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the GERS.
Austin L. Nibbs, CPA Administrator of the Government Employees' Retirement System (GERS) is pleased to announce that the Board has approved his recommendation of Mrs. Grasilda H. Dobbins, CPA as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the GERS.
Mrs. Dobbins has been employed with the GERS as the Director of Accounting since November 2001 and has been acting in the capacity as the CFO since January 2011.
Prior to 2001, she was employed with the Virgin Islands Telephone Company as a Special Assistant to the President for Regulatory Affairs, CFO, Treasurer and Assistant Controller. She has held positions in accounting, auditing and finance with Chiquita Brands International, Martin Marietta Corporation, Squibb Corporation and Peat Marwick Main & Company (now KPMG).
Mrs. Dobbins earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Howard University, Washington, D.C. and a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Tax from Pace University, Brooklyn, New York.
She is a licensed Certified Public Account (CPA) in the states of New York and New Jersey, and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and New York State Society of CPAs.
