Hours of Operation

The Government Employees Retirement System (GERS) announces that because of unforeseen issues which we observed during the user acceptance testing of the new pension and benefits (loans) system; it has become necessary to close our offices in both districts. We are working vigorously with the software provider to correct these programming errors, and continue to test and re-test the system’s logic.

Services will be provided during the months of December, 2011 and January, February and March 2012 as follow:

Loans

• Loan applications will be accepted December 5, 2011 – January 11, 2012.
• Monday – Wednesday 8:00a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Loan applications will not be accepted from January 12, 2012 through March 7, 2012.
• Loan application intake will resume on Monday March 12, 2012 at 8:00a.m.

Member Services (Benefits)

• Full services will be available December 5, 2011 – January 11, 2012

           Monday – Wednesday 8:00a.m. to 3:00p.m.

• There will be no member services from January 12, 2012 through March 7, 2012.

Full services will resume on Monday March 12, 2012 at 8:00a.m.
