GERS to Host Financial Literacy Workshops

The Government Employees’ Retirement System is pleased to announce that they will begin hosting Financial Literacy Workshops for its members, commencing this month.

The Government Employees’ Retirement System is pleased to announce that they will begin hosting Financial Literacy Workshops for its members, commencing this month.

The objective of these workshops is to empower participants to take a more active role in developing a financial life-plan for themselves by means of education. Participants will engage in hands-on sessions where they will have an opportunity to assess where they are today, explore investment options, look at the impact of life events on their finances and develop an action plan. 

Members are encouraged to register early by calling 776-7703 extension 4202 or by emailing tliburd@usvigers.com with the words “Financial Workshop” in the subject line.  Be sure to include your first and last name, department/agency or retiree and a contact number.  Registration deadline is Friday, February 21st.

Note that workshops will be held once per month and will alternate between districts.
