Temporary Suspension of GERS Loans Processing

The Government Employees’ Retirement System wishes to advise its members of the temporary suspension of all loan processing from Monday, September 15 through Tuesday, September 30.
The Government Employees’ Retirement System wishes to advise its members of the temporary suspension of all loan processing from Monday, September 15 through Tuesday, September 30. This temporary suspension is necessary to allow for maintenance of the loan portfolio and the closing of accounts for Fiscal Year 2014.
We will resume the loans intake process on Wednesday, October 1st. Members are reminded that loan applications are accepted on Mondays through Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. Through 3:00 p.m. and Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to noon. A valid picture I.D. And the last two (2) check stubs are required. Also, in order to be seen on a particular day you must call the office to have your name placed on the daily listing. This will ensure that persons coming in on a specific day will be seen on that day. Walk-in applicants are no longer accepted.
