GERS Administrator/CEO, Austin L. Nibbs of the Government Employees’ Retirement System (GERS) would like to advise members that in the event there is an extended shut down of the GERS offices due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the GERS will not be able to print checks remotely for retirees who receive their annuity payments by checks.

Therefore, it is strongly encouraged that all retirees who are not enrolled in the ACH (Direct Deposit) program do so immediately, as we are also strictly limiting in-person services to protect the GERS staff and you our members.

A letter is being distributed to all retirees not currently enrolled in the program, along with the required Direct Deposit form, necessary documents and identification to be completed and returned to the GERS offices.

If you have any concerns or need additional assistance, please feel free to contact the Customer Service Unit at (340) 776-7703 at ext. 5202 or 5203 or (340) 718-5480 at ext. 5204.
