National Chain Supply Shortage Delays 1099r Delivery

The Administrator of the Government Employees’ Retirement System advises retirees that due to the national chain supply problems; the vendor has recently advised the GERS that although the hard copy of the1099R forms were ordered months in advance, delivery will be delayed past the required January 31st deadline for mailing the annual 1099R forms to the retirees.


The Administrator of the Government Employees’ Retirement System advises retirees that due to the national chain supply problems; the vendor has recently advised the GERS that although the hard copy of the1099R forms were ordered months in advance, delivery will be delayed past the required January 31st deadline for mailing the annual 1099R forms to the retirees.  

The 1099R will be available online to retirees by January 31, 2022, through the Member Self-Service feature on our website at www.usvigers.com. We encourage our retirees to utilize this avenue to print their 1099R until the hard copies are received from the vendor and processed by the GERS.
