Name and Address Changes

1) Should I notify GERS when I change my address?

Yes. GERS sends multiple mailings during the year that are mailed to the address on GERS records. Members can change their address by using a GERS Change Form or by calling GERS.

2) Do employers notify GERS of address and name changes?

We ask that employers report any name and address changes for an active employee, in addition to the routine reporting of contributions. However, changes may be missed. Ultimately it is the member's responsibility to notify GERS of any personal changes.

3) I am living at a temporary address. How do I report this to GERS?

GERS can record a temporary address. Inform GERS at the time of the address change that it is temporary and for what period of time.
