  • Assistant Administrator

    An employee in this class is responsible for enhancing the internal organization processes and infrastructure that will allow the Employees’ Retirement System of the Government of the Virgin Islands to continue to grow and fulfill its mission. Provides leadership to the System in strategic planning; budgeting; effective execution of  and compliance with the laws, policies, rules and regulations that govern the System and works actively as a team with the Administrator, and senior management team in the development and recommendations of the Administrator and the Board of Trustees.

    Work is confidential in nature and is performed under the general direction of the Administrator with latitude for initiative and independent judgment.

    Serves as the Acting Administrator of the System in the absence of the Administrator

    Serves as a member of the Administrator’s executive team.

    Requires residency in the district where the administrator does not reside.

    Qualifications

    Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with concentration in Business Administration, Public Administration or Management and five (5) years of progressively responsible operational/administrative and management experience; or

    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Business Administration, Public Administration or Management  or closely related field and ten (10) years of progressively responsible operational/administrative management experience.
