  • Loan Processor ll

    ANNOUNCES AN OPENING FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION
    ON THE ISLAND OF

    St. Thomas



    Performs clerical work dealing with processing of loan applications for active and retired members of the System. Work is performed in accordance with established policies, rules and regulations.


    DUTIES INCLUDE:

    • Interviews applicants to determine eligibility for personal loans.
    • Reviews applicants contribution accounts to verify balance and years of credited service.
    • Calculates applicants loan balance, if any, to be refinanced.
    • Interviews retiree loan applicants and accepts applications for processing.
    • Prepares underwriting analysis of debt/income and submits to Credit Committee for approval.
    • Inputs data into loan computer database to generate Disclosure Statement,
    • Promissory Note and other closing documents.
    • Verifies closing documents for completeness and accuracy.
    • Explains loan details to borrower and obtains signatures on documents.
    • Schedules closings and disburse checks for retiree loans.
    • Exports files from computer database to Servicing database.
    • Sets up new loans, validates data, and prints audit report.
    • Prepares letters to notify borrowers that delinquent personal loans will be repaid from contributions.
    • Performs other related duties as required.


    QUALIFICATIONS:

    High School diploma and two years clerical experience with two years in the lending industry including computer data entry; or


    Four years clerical experience including data entry or computer work with two years experience in the lending industry.

  • Assistant Administrator

    ANNOUNCES AN OPENING FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION
    POSITION ON THE ISLAND OF
    St. Croix


    An employee in this class is responsible for enhancing the internal organization processes and infrastructure that will allow the Employees Retirement System of the Government of the Virgin Islands to continue to grow and fulfill its mission. Provides leadership to the System in strategic planning; budgeting; effective execution of and compliance with the laws, policies, rules and regulations that govern the System and works actively as a team with the Administrator, senior management and the Board of Trustees. Work is confidential in nature and is performed under the general direction of the Administrator with latitude for initiative and independent judgement.  Serves as a member of the Administrator's executive team and as the Acting Administrator of the System in the absence of the Administrator. Ability to manage staff of one hundred (100) or more and knowledge of administering collective bargaining agreements. Requires residency in the district where the administrator does not reside.


    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Master's degree from an accredited college or university with concentration in Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration or Management and five(5) years of progressively responsible operational/ administrative and management experience.

    Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work In Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration or Management or closely related field, and ten (10) years of progressively responsible operational/administrative management experience.
