Director of Retail, Dining, and Entertainment


The Director of Retail, Dining, and Entertainment is a leadership position responsible for overseeing a multifaceted retail, dining, and entertainment complex's strategic planning, operational management, and overall success. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong leadership skills, business acumen, and the ability to create and execute strategies to enhance the customer experience and maximize property value.

DUTIES INCLUDE (NOT EXHAUSTIVE):

  • Develops and implements comprehensive strategies to enhance the overall performance and profitability of the retail, dining, and entertainment complex.
  • Identifies and pursues opportunities for business growth, new partnerships, and revenue streams.
  • Conducts market research and stays abreast of industry trends to ensure the complex remains competitive.
  • Monitors day-to-day 3rd party operations of the complex's retail, dining, and entertainment establishments.
  • Collaborates with individual store and restaurant managers to ensure seamless facility operations and optimal customer satisfaction.      
  • Foster positive relationships with tenants, addressing concerns and ensuring that they adhere to lease agreements.
  • Develops and implements initiatives to enhance the overall customer experience within the complex, assuring compliance with brand standards.
  • Develops and manages budgets for the retail, dining, and entertainment complex.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Develops and executes marketing and promotional strategies to attract visitors and tenants.
  • Recruits, trains, and leads a high-performing team.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Real Estate Property Management, Marketing, Finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university, with five (5) years of operational/administrative management experience in a mall, commercial real estate, hotel, or cruise industry. This should include three (3) years in a management role. Alternatively, a combination of education and experience with nine (9) years of operational/administrative management experience, including three (3) years in a management role, in a mall, commercial real estate, hotel, or cruise industry with retail, dining, and entertainment management experience.
