GERS Board Elections to Take Place Beginning November 2nd

GERS Board Election to take place November 2nd - December 11th, 2015.
GERS Administrator, Austin L. Nibbs, advises that the election of retirees to the GERS Board of Trustees will take place November 2nd through December 11th, 2015.
Retirees in the St. Thomas/St. John District currently receiving an annuity check or disability benefit as of September 30, 2015 will be eligible to participate in the voting process by Mail-in Ballot or Internet. The District candidates are: Wilbur K. Callender, M.D. and Nathan Simmonds.
A biographical profile of each candidate can be found on GERS' website at www.usvigers.com. There will also be an election feature in the upcoming GERS quarterly newsletter, set to publish on October 26th.
Trustee Judge Edgar Ross will retain his seat on the Board as there were no other candidates in the St. Croix District. In accordance with election procedures, if only one candidate has been nominated for the position by petition, there shall be no election and the candidate shall take office as if elected.
