GERS Announces Retiree 2015 Election Results

GERS announces 2015 Retiree Election results for the St. Thomas/St. John District.
GERS Administrator/CEO, Austin L. Nibbs, is pleased to announce that Trustee Wilbur K. Callender, M.D. of the St. Thomas/St. John District has retained his seat on the GERS Board of Trustees. Of the 4,612 ballots mailed to retirees receiving an annuity at September 30, 2015, only 26.4% were returned (1,215 good; 5 spoiled). Dr. Wilbur Callender received 778 votes and Nathan Simmonds received 437 votes.
Congratulations are extended to Dr. Callender on his re-election bid. As well, sincere thanks and appreciation is extended to Mr. Nathan Simmonds for his participation and interest in serving the members of the retirement system.
We would also like to thank all retirees who participated in the election process and wish everyone a joyous holiday season and a bright and prosperous New Year.
