In the November 2013 Board meeting, GERS trustees, upon the recommendation of the Administrator, waived the refinancing requirement for a retiree loan which is that a retiree loan must have been paid down by 50 percent of the original loan before it could be refinanced.

GERS Administrator, Austin L. Nibbs, would like to advise retirees that they should contact the Division of Personnel - Group Health Insurance Office with any questions pertaining to their Health Insurance deduction, as all deduction amounts are sent to the GERS from Personnel.
