Non-Duty Disability Benefits
Any member under age 60 having at least 9 years of credited service who becomes totally or permanently incapacitated from service, for any cause, either mental or physical, and other than duty disability shall be entitled to a non duty disability annuity.
The non duty disability annuity shall begin to accrue upon termination of payments to the employee by the Government of amounts representing full compensation, part compensation or any other form of compensation.
A written application must be submitted to the Board of Trustees within 60 days of the date of termination of compensation. Failure to complete this application within 60 days will result in the annuity payment beginning 60 days prior to the receipt of the application.
