Employment After Retirement

During retirement you may decide to return to work. You may work in the private sector and continue to receive your retirement benefits.  However, if you return to work for the Governement of the Virgin Islands,  your retirement may be affected.

Please remember to inform GERS of your decision to resume employment with the Government of the Virgin Islands. 

Retiring Again

When you retire again, you must submit a new retirement application.  Your monthly benefit will be recalculated based on the additional service you earned during re-employment.
